Section 01
The Problem We Saw
Sonivance wasn't built out of a love for numbers. It was built after watching too many good people lose too much time to them. Skilled teams stuck cleaning spreadsheets instead of running their programmes. Field staff chasing down forms instead of chasing down results. Talented people, doing important work, worn down by the sheer weight of data that refused to cooperate.
Reports scattered across different desks. Numbers that didn't reconcile. Weeks lost cleaning spreadsheets and chasing field teams for missing forms. By the time the data was finally usable, the decision had already been made on instinct, because the evidence wasn't ready in time.
It wasn't one organisation's problem. It repeated itself across dozens of teams and sectors, in every kind of fieldwork imaginable.
“The problem was never the analysis. It was everything before the analysis: the hours, the energy, the talented people buried in preparation instead of using their insight.”

Section 02
The Insight
The more we looked, the clearer it became: the bottleneck was rarely the analysis. It was everything that happens before reliable evidence reaches a decision-maker: recruiting and training the right enumerators, building forms that hold up in the field, supervising quality day by day, catching errors while they can still be fixed rather than months later.
Get that part right and analysis becomes straightforward. Get it wrong and no amount of statistical skill can rescue the study.
“Numbers mean nothing until someone does the unglamorous, invisible work of making them trustworthy and usable. No single pair of hands can do that for everyone who needs it.”
Section 03
Why Sonivance Was Created
Sonivance Limited was created to close the gap between strong research design and reliable field implementation. Not another consultancy chasing contracts, but a partner for ambitious organisations that refuse to let messy data slow their mission down. We clear the chaos before the analysis, and doing the quiet, careful work of turning scattered information into something a leader can act on with confidence.
That means owning the whole chain when clients need it: study design, sampling, digital data collection, field teams, quality control, analysis and reporting, or slotting in as the local field partner for a larger consortium that already has the design covered.
“So ambitious organisations can focus on their mission. We take care of turning their data into insight.”
Section 04
From Fieldwork to Learning
The same problem of good people without the skills or systems to trust their own numbers didn't stop at the organisations we worked with directly. Enumerators, supervisors and research assistants across the region were facing it too, often with nowhere affordable or practical to learn the craft properly.
So we built Go Sonic Academy: the training ground where the same field-tested standards we use on real projects are taught to the people doing the work, turning what used to be learned the hard way, project by project, into short, practical courses anyone can access. The Academy isn't a separate company. It's Sonivance's practical training arm, built on the same fieldwork DNA.
Section 05
Where We Are Going
Our direction is to keep joining up the parts of evidence generation that are usually kept apart: research design, field capability, digital data collection, analytics, training and the technology that holds it all together. When those work as one system, evidence arrives earlier, costs less to trust, and actually reaches the decision it was meant to inform.
That is the standard we are building towards, for our clients, for the field teams we train, and for the people whose lives the data is ultimately about.
“The data was never the point. The difference it makes in people's lives is.”
That's why Sonivance exists.
